From partnerships with Google to powering financial connectivity across 2,000+ banks in 19 markets, Yapily continues to show where open banking is heading. We worked with the team to extend their brand system and redesign the website, creating 3D animated graphics, looping motion assets, UX, UI and a clearer digital framework for one of open banking’s leading infrastructure platforms.
Huge congratulations to the Yapily team on expanding their collaboration with Google Cloud, delivering bank account verification across 11 European markets. We've been lucky enough to support Yapily in shaping a brand that reflects the ambition and scale of their platform. Seeing that work help power seamless, open banking experiences for businesses across Europe is a fantastic milestone for the team, and another great example of enterprise innovation in action.
Benefits matter because life happens. A new job. A growing family. Illness. Loss. Money worries. Wellbeing. The everyday moments people carry with them, in and out of work. We helped Benifex evolve their brand around those moments, creating human-made marks with their team and turning them into a flexible visual language, brand system and toolkit. A brand built to feel more human, more connected and more useful. For the people behind every organisation, and the moments that matter to them.
Huge congratulations to the Mindflick team on becoming Manchester United’s official Performance Mindset Partner. We’ve been lucky enough to support Mindflick across their brand evolution, helping shape a platform built around performance psychology, mindset and human potential. Seeing that work now support one of the world’s most iconic clubs is a brilliant milestone for the team, and a great reminder of where a clear brand, product and purpose can take you.
Liferaft needed to get to market quickly with a complex climate story. Through a focused brand and digital sprint, we helped shape the strategy, visual identity, website and storytelling tools needed to explain their biochar process clearly, including an AI-assisted product film delivered in under two weeks. Built as a continuous loop, the film brings the lifecycle of carbon removal to life, supporting a business that has since secured a landmark 10-year agreement with Microsoft to supply one million carbon removal units.
To celebrate, we’ve made the FD Ball. At first glance, it’s just a football. Look again. The black panels carry our manifesto icons, each one drawn from the culture pillars that shape For Different, representing how we think, work, push, question and make. The ball is a symbol of unity, team-ship and support. A small expression of what it feels like to be part of our studio. Now... Let's bring it home... 👀
Following our work with Makevale, we were asked to create a brand for Valomer, a new innovation platform within the business. The challenge was to build something with enough authority to stand on its own whilst remaining clearly connected to the Makevale masterbrand. Through brand architecture, strategy and visual identity, we helped create a platform designed to support future innovation and growth.
We're looking for a proactive, commercially minded person to help create new opportunities for the studio. Part sales, marketing, research and organisation, this hybrid role is based in the Cotswolds, comes with full training, and offers a unique opportunity to learn the commercial side of a modern creative studio while helping ambitious businesses discover our work.
A look back at our work with Infogrid, a fast-scaling technology business helping organisations create smarter, healthier and more sustainable buildings. Built around the idea of urban nature, we created a brand designed to bridge infrastructure and sustainability, combining architectural forms, environmental thinking and a distinctive visual system built for growth. A brand created at a pivotal moment in the company's journey, helping establish the foundations for years of expansion, international growth and future evolution.
We developed and expanded a visual language built around blocks, construction systems and custom-built structures, creating a direct metaphor for the flexibility and scalability of the platform. To bring greater personality and accessibility to the category, we created a toolkit of distinctive isometric illustrations that helped visualise complex payments infrastructure in a way that felt engaging, human and recognisably Modulr.
From startup to scale. Our relationship with Modulr began in 2015, when our founder supported the business in its earliest stages, helping shape the foundations of the brand. Nearly a decade later, we’re still part of the journey, supporting the brand as the business continues to grow into one of Europe’s leading fintech success stories. A brilliant example of what long-term creative partnerships can become.
Liferaft has announced a ten-year partnership with Microsoft for one million carbon removal units, helping remove atmospheric carbon while restoring land, improving soil health and creating jobs in rural American communities. We're proud to have helped shape a brand that reflects the scale of Liferaft's ambition, and even prouder to see that work supporting such an important moment in their journey. Congratulations to the entire Liferaft team, we're excited to see what comes next!
Back in 2024, we supported Allica Bank on the development of a refined brand system and visual guidelines, working closely with their incredible in-house team and external partners. Our role focused on visual positioning, colour exploration and system development, alongside the production of new 3D renders for Allica’s existing bowler hat asset. A systems-led project designed to support scale and ongoing internal evolution.
Hive Learning is a platform built to help organisations develop skills, capability and performance through collaborative learning. As the business matured, the brand needed to better reflect the clarity, intelligence and scale of the product itself.
Calyx wanted to build a platform and community for nail entrepreneurs across India, supporting professionals at every stage of their journey, from getting started to growing a business and mastering their craft.
Rudolph didn’t fit in. Then the fog rolled in, and suddenly everyone knew his name. He probably should have been accepted from the start, but we’re glad he came out on top. Inspired by the most different deer of all, this Christmas we’re sharing a small gift from For Different. A Rudolph balaclava knitting pattern.
We're excited to be heading back to Imperial Enterprise Lab on 11th December, where Lee, our Founder, is running a session on How to Build a Brand. He’ll be sharing practical, usable tips on brand creation (the same tools we use at For Different), covering everything from getting your strategy straight to turning it into clear design, messaging and execution. If you’re an early-stage founder or building something new inside a team, this will give you a solid starting point (and a way to avoid the usual pitfalls). You can find out more here.
We built Lucid’s brand from the ground up, shaping a full strategic and visual foundation for the firm. See the full case study.
Working closely with Mindflick, we evolved every layer of the brand, from strategy to experience. We re-examined their purpose, positioning, personality and proposition to ensure they reflected a more confident, scalable platform for growth. See the full case study.
Our 2025 reel brings together the best of this year and moments from the past few: work, ideas and art that capture where we’ve been, and where we’re heading.
Our new site is now live, introducing For Different as a creative company for the AI era: two studios shaped by venture building. The Creative Studio builds brands, digital experiences and stories that move people and markets. The Venture Studio builds products and tools that reshape creativity. Explore more on our Info page.
We’ve built the company we always wished existed, a culture shaped by experience, with a manifesto that makes work meaningful, impact measurable, and defines how it feels to work with us. After years of building, experimenting and learning, we’ve distilled what makes us, us. Ten principles that define how we think, create and build. From standing for something to working differently, these principles capture the DNA of For Different, they’re what drives us, how we collaborate, and what we believe creative companies should stand for. For the first time, we’re sharing them openly, as both a marker of intent and an invitation. To build better, think braver, and keep doing things our way. For purpose, for progress, and for different. Read more here.
Our new site was created in collaboration with SB8 Studios, reuniting our founder, Lee Fairbrother, with one of For Different’s first team members (and a dear friend), Sorby Brown. Built on friendship and shared history, it was a joy to have Sorby back to help launch this new chapter.
The First in Our Digital Art Series with the launch of our new site, we wanted the homepage to reflect more than just the brands we’ve built, it’s a space to share creative expression. Throughout the year, the hero will evolve into a digital art wall, featuring pieces from our team, collaborators and guest artists. Our first piece, Headspace, comes from founder Lee Fairbrother and 3D and Motion Director Alessandro Mariotti. It revisits one of For Different’s earliest ideas: that inside, we’re all the same; it’s the outside that makes us different. The skull became our symbol of that duality: togetherness and difference. A physical version of is in discussion, which we hope will be exhibited in London next year. More digital art to come.
